Ever notice your basement walls are bowing, and they seem to get worse over time? Or is there material building up on the block wall, and there's a moldy smell in your basement? This can lead to mold exposure for your family and is a common issue in our area because of the freeze-thaw cycle. Often, the root cause of this is that the exterior of the foundation was not properly backfilled with stone to grade. The soil over time swells and then dries out, creating air pockets for debris to fall into and push up against your walls.

First, we excavate around the structure. If the walls are bowing, we will then support the house, straighten the walls back out, and perform a 'core-fill' to prevent them from bowing again. We can also replace the walls if determined is necessary. After the walls have been realigned, we will spray elastomeric sealant on the exterior to prevent any water from entering. We then install footer tile at the bottom of the exterior foundation with clean-outs. Clean outs are pipes coming up to grade allowing access for future cleaning of footer tiles. Next, we backfill with stone within 1-2 ft from grade. Finally, we backfill & grade site using existing excavated soil.
